Social Media Is 'tearing Us Apart', Center And High School Students Say

Perhaps, people in academia rely closely on the web for academic purposes . However, observation means that a large number of students use the web for purposes other than academics. The current research aimed to determine the variations in web use for social or academic functions amongst undergraduates in tertiary establishments in Nigeria. A total of 200 undergraduates comprising female and male drawn from three tertiary institutions participated within the study. The members accomplished a self-report measure on web use for academic and non-academic purposes. COVID-19 has upended regular social connections that develop between college students and professors.
